Welcome Sunday Drivers!

Dave has just called a short while ago and he and Tumble are headed for Zanesville to meet with Wendy.
This is where our two Golden Girls will join us for the ride into NJ.
These two little ladies got left behind on a transport they were scheduled to ride on yesterday, due to a glich at the vets office. They have been in the prison training system since they were about 10 weeks old and are headed to their furever homes in CT.
Welcome aboard ladies!

Almost forgot,...........

Ruff is now with his new foster MOM, Debbie who says,

"Ruff is a big goofball, and very sweet, and is now settled in with his dinner at my house. Chase and Drummer (my Tollers) were startled to see that there'd beena new addition, but initial introductions went well.

We'll do more of that tomorrow. I'm too tired to referee tonight!

Thanks go to Pat T. for patiently hanging out w/ the boys when the run got ahead of schedule... I had a prior commitment and couldn't be early, so I think she had close to an hour to just hang out w/ the boys in Marshall, IL.
When I pulled into the parking lot at the McDonald's, there was nobody in the front seat, and I looked to see if they were off walking, then I realized Pat had settled into the backseat and both boys were happily snuggling.

To all the drivers from OK to Indy... thank you!
And to tomorrow's drivers... safe travels, and enjoy your time with Tumble! :)

KC Star Crew, and our Hostess Posted by Hello

The Fun Begins

After arriving in KC for their overnight, one of our guests promptly chewed their hostess front door, while the other one pooped on a chair! Glad their hostess had a sence of humor! They did settle down, after a well needed romp in the back yard, and a nice sit down dinner! Little did they know, they had to get up very early for a photo shoot with the KC Star??????

Ruff and Tumble ~ Feature Article?

Seems we have a Fan of our humble organization who was impressed enough to call in the local newspaper folks to do an article in the Kansas City Star, featuring the journey of Ruff and Tumble, and what their future will hold for them with Above and Beyond!
I spoke with a reporter for quite awhile answering questions that covered our whole procedure of pulling dogs into the lifetime safety net that we provide for the rest of their natural born days! Lucky dogs!
He also spoke with Carl Nylund, a native of the Kansas City area, who also founded,
KC Rescue
Carl's Rescue Page For MUGGINS
~Spay/Neuter~
Carl has helped us many times in the past, and he and I have met a few times along I - 35, handing off other furbabies in need of a lift.
Carl is what real rescue is all about!

Day 1 of the Tribute Transport

Day one started in Oklahoma, where sadly enough, Ruff's family had to move and couldn't take him with them. Lucky for Ruff Above and Beyond wrapped her loving arms around him and held tight!

Tumble joined us in Topeka, KS and we headed to KC,MO for our overnight on Friday!

This is where the fun really begins!

Ruff and Tumble A Tribute Run

This Transport is dedicated in the Memory Of "Elmo",
a kindered spirit to Ruff and
Tumble.

Elmo was found eating garbage, soaked to the bone, from the week of rain. Full of parasites, emaciated, his spirit remained. Elmo made it all the way from GA. - PA, his spirit touched many. Unfortunately Elmo's broken down body just could not hold out any longer,..Elmo was called home.
